Pretty excited at Cloverleaf! I have put in for an Artisan Agriculture grant with Victorian Agriculture to have colour-ways generated and produced in collaboration with bybriony. Fingers crossed this will be successful. Also some magic tops have been produced by Cashmere Connections (25 minutes from the farm) and these are being spun into 4 & 8 ply worsted yarn at Wangaratta Woollen Mill. So great to have the Bendigo Woollen Mill's factory supporting the smaller producers!
OK very exciting! Put into your diary 2-5 May 2019.
"Wool Gathering is a four day retreat designed to bring together those of us who are passionate about all things wool. It is a chance to share our enthusiasm and knowledge. It is a chance to learn about new crafts and techniques. It is a chance to meet new people and make new friends. And it is a chance to walk with the sheep that produce the fibre that gives us so much pleasure as we run it through our hands – and so much more! The Annual Retreat is held in country Victoria, Australia."
Such talented friends @boyleanne who can spin the most amazing hanks from raw wool! My beautiful girl ‘Baby’, who is now a mum really does demonstrate her English Leicester heritage with her wool luster. She loves a bit of sheep massage also ;-) #cloverleafsheep #homespun #handspunyarn #australianwool #corriedale #woolcraft (at Bullengarook, Victoria, Australia)
Ahh farm life. The wool and fur kids coming home. The sheepy girls, who are the show girls for Bendigo sheep and wool show, are coming in for some food. Yes I have pretty good sheep dogs.

Oh they grow up so fast! Baby’s first coat LOL. The crew had their coats put on today so the wonderful wool spinners can have nice clean wool tips.
Love this fibre! Am about to send 200kg for processing! #handmade #wearethemakers #handmadeisbetter #cloverleafsheep #australianwool #womeninag (at Bullengarook, Victoria, Australia)
So I am learning to knit. A talented friend has set me up with a beginner’s 101 pattern. It is a bit wonky but practice makes perfect! I will show the sheep girls in the paddock the finished product with their ‘rustic 8 ply’ hand spun yarn. Hopefully they might appreciate their donation from last years shearing. :-)
Thanks Indie Road for a great magazine. I was excited to recieve my subscription in the mail! Mitch the ram loves his pictorial and the other boy’s are jealous! (at Bullengarook, Victoria, Australia)
