A 4 ply/fingering weight worsted (i.e. not woollen constructed) Corriedale yarn averaging 27 micron, averages 100g. approx 395m/432yds. Typical knit gauge range in stockinette stitch to 10cm: 27-32 sts with a 2.25 – 3.25 mm needle. For crochet gauge range in single crochet to 10cm : 21-32stitches, hook range 2.25-3.5. This yarn is a 2-strand construction with a looser twist so may not be perfect for socks etc. Perfect for garments and outerwear, with good stitch definition, soft but not so soft it pills while you work with it.
An 8 ply / light worsted worsted Corriedale yarn averaging 27 micron. This approx 100g skein averages 200 meters. Perfect for garments and outerwear, with good stitch definition, soft but not so soft it pills while you work with it. At 11 WPI this is a plump 4 strand 8ply yarn that is suitable for both Light Worsted and DK weight projects. Typical knit gauge range in stockinette stitch to 10cm : 21-24 sts with a 3.75 – 4.5mm needle. For crochet gauge range in single crochet to 10cm : 12-17 stitches, hook range 4.5-5.5.
